A poetic study in oil, capturing a profile silhouette of Henry Moore’s bronze Family Group sculpture, seeking the ultimate unity between humanity and nature.

Unity explores the sense of harmony cradled within Henry Moore’s famous bronze Family Group sculpture, resting under the trees in the sun-drenched gardens of Hoglands. I wanted to delve into Moore’s powerful theme of unity, showing how these separate figures seamlessly merge into a single, unbreakable silhouette.

It is a celebration of connection, endurance, and the harmony between monumental art and the natural world. It explores how human connection can transcend its individual identity to become part of the land itself. Painted in oils, Unity explores the stark contrast between the vivid green of the tree canopy, the sun-bleached summer grass, and the timeless, living bronze of the sculpture.
